Chicken Tacos
Dear Kittens,
Do not get me started about Daylight Saving Time. I hate it's stupid guts and to everyone who loves it, keep it to yourself. Also- if you love the so-called extra hour of sunlight so much- GET UP EARLIER! The sun is there. I'm actually blaming everyone who loves DST for how I feel today. CONGRATULATIONS, JERKS! That is all for today. Tomorrow will include more bitching.
We should make a list today because I'm feeling vomity from the time change.
1. On Saturday a friend and I did some crafty stuff and then we went to go hear another friend's band play. It was a great time and it's always nice to get out and do something WACKY. I'm joking about the wacky part. It wasn't wacky at all. It was just fun.
2. Because of the time change, Sunday felt like it lasted exactly 20 minutes. We had brunch, I did a tiny bit of shopping and then we had sushi. I drank some iced tea at some point and I practiced my local TV news faces.
3. It used to be my goal to never be on the local TV news because invariably the normal person looks borderline stupid whenever they're on the local TV news. Then I saw this woman giving a comment about the not-really-a-recession and she made a total fool of herself, but it gave me the idea that it would be awesome to just hang out in various newsy situations and be ready with a bunch of ridiculous catch phrases and facial expressions. I think this is going to be my new career.
Here's what I've got so far:
4. Today is all about laundry. Mostly because I am too tired and grouchy to do anything else productive. The good news is, I'm getting a lot of laundry done. The grouchiness is absolutely related to Daylight Stupid Time and quite possibly Special Lady Time and so it's a real party with me today.
5. I want to eat tacos today. Earlier, I told a friend that I want to eat 20-30 tacos. That remains true, even though I know there's no way I could eat that many unless they were really tiny. Tiny like a tortilla chip tiny. Why with all the disgusting junk food available has no one come up with a miniature taco in a bag? Anyway, if Andy is ammenable we will be eating tacos. Chicken tacos. Delicious, delicious chicken tacos. With chicken.
Love,
Catie

I just discovered a place here in Portland (in the Pearl district) called Bartini - the very biggest and best martini menu I have ever seen. While I am not a huge martini fan - the two I had (2 was quite enough) were so super delicious. We also got super yummy cheese fondue there. When you come back to Portland - you need to check this place out. I will even buy you a martini!

The precanned interview faces thing is killing me. You funny lady.

Catie, they have tiny tacos in a box and they are called Taco Bites and my esteemed co-worker Andrew Luau tried them and they were horrifying. Back to the drawing board!

Oh my god I LOVE THOSE FACES!! You are one awesome lady, Catie, and I think I may have a tiny taco crush on you.

catie! You are totally right about daylight savings time. Who are they kidding? there is the same amount of daylight regardless of whether or not it is "saved." Ha. Also, nice pictures, and are those cherries or quince? love, me.

Catie, if you ever come out my way, I'll hook you up with my taco-obsessed brother-in-law. He can put away 8+ tacos at a time. Sure, he pays a steep price, but he sure loves his tacos. You two can go to taco town together.

I also hate Daylight Savings time! Very much!

Chelle has a tiny taco. Ha!
Also, along the vein of ha! now that I know what those faces were for, I love them (and you) even more. I did not know that was possible. But it is!

Those little faces are awesome and it should be your mission to get them on your local news, somehow.

I hate Daylight Stupid Time too. I am still not recovered, and I'm here on the computer at 12:30 am so I won't be recovered tomorrow either. Bah.
