Dear Kittens,
1. I resent the urges to vote, I resent bumper sticker allegiances to candidates or causes. I resent yard signs, commercials and anything else that tells me what to think. It's arrogant and intrusive. I don't like it even when I agree with the point of view. Do not urge me to vote. Do not urge me how to vote. I make my choice, you make yours.
2. A person on a radio show did the most awesome thing I've heard in a long time. A person went on the street and asked people who they were going to vote for. This was done is a mostly democratic city, so most people said they were voting for Obama. Then the radio person asked the person if they agreed with Obama's position on issues, except they used McCain's positions instead. Without exception, every single person said that they agreed with the McCain positions. The last question was, "Would you vote for Obama even if it means Sarah Palin would be vice President?" And Every Single Person said yes. So. You know. Maybe not everyone SHOULD vote.
3. The tile dudes are here laying the tile for the front porch. I know without photos it's impossible to imagine all the goings on, but before we leave on our trip I will have photos for you. We bought a bunch of plants this weekend, more are arriving via UPS today and tomorrow. You will not be surprised to learn that there are a lot of pink flowers. The one droplet of yellow is some climbing roses by our garage. The thing I'm most excited for, is coming home from Europe and seeing our house after being gone for so long.
4. I think my totally awesome foundation primer is irritating my skin. It's supposed to be good for sensitive skin, but alla sudden my cheeks are red and dry and it's not comfortable at all. Of course, I changed several things at the same time, so it could've been the new foundation or the new facial cleanser. For now I'm stopping the primer and then I'll see what happens.
Now, I have real work to do and real showers to take and real worker dudes to praise.
Love,
Catie
